Booking Roll Up Rinks
With an ever growing number of Club Members now enjoying the facility, it is important that they all understand the Club Rules around the use of roll up rinks:
BOOKING A RINK
Roll Up and Competition Rinks can be booked in one of 3 ways. These are listed below in order of preference:
- Online – using your Member Area Password and Bowling Account (Preferred)
- Over the Telephone on (01522) 526237
- In Person at the bar in the club
PAYING FOR BOWLING RINKS
Whatever method is used, rinks must be paid for prior to play commencing. All Members must report to the bar upon arrival to either confirm a pre-paid booking or to settle any rink fees prior to play.
ROLL-UPS & CASUAL PRACTICE
Players wishing to roll-up should book rinks online via the Member Area of the club website at www.lincolnibc.co.uk. In order to do so members must be familiar with their Membership Number, their password and most importantly, have credit on their Bowling Account.
In the event of few roll up rinks being available, members must be prepared to share the rink with up to 8 people. Furthermore, Members who have already booked are not at liberty to refuse to share rinks.
Once a member has enlisted for a roll up on a spare rink, that rink will be classified as ‘booked’ in the same way as it would be if it were booked for a competition. Once booked, any such rink cannot be commandeered for any other purpose.
BOOKING RINKS ONLINE
It helps the club to better manage rink bookings if all members have a Bowling Account. This can be replenished either by card payment online via the site or at the bar when in the club. You MUST have credit on your Bowling Account to be able to book rinks online.
HOW DO I BOOK A RINK ONLINE?
You will need to select the Member Login area of the club website. To get in you require your Membership Number (please ask) and your password. Password for first time access is defaulted to your first initial, surname and membership number in one string of characters (all lower case).
One inside go to your ‘MY ACCOUNT’ page.
Select ‘MY ROLL UP MATCHES’ and ‘MAKE A NEW BOOKING’.
Choose a date from the drop-down calendar.
Hover over the time/rink slot required and click on ‘BOOK SLOT’
ROLL UP defaults into the top box (if it’s a Competition you are booking you can change this)
Select the required duration in the Left Hand box beneath using the drop down arrow and click. Your name is defaulted in against that duration.
If you are playing with friends it would help us to book them in too so long as they have credit you can do this by selecting the duration from the next Left Hand box, then clicking into the right hand box and typing their surname. Select the correct person by clicking on their name.
You can continue to do this for all your playing partners so long as they all have credit on their account.
When arriving at the club on the day of your booking YOU MUST REPORT TO THE BAR PRIOR TO GOING ONTO THE RINK so that we can confirm your arrival and the number and name of any partners.
BOOKING VIA THE TELEPHONE
If all of the roll up rinks in the session are taken by on line bookings, you are perfectly entitled to telephone the Club on (01522) 526237 and request to share a rink.
A member of staff will ask you for your preferred rink from those available and if you have credit on your account, we can add your name to the rink and automatically deduct the rink fee from your account.
If you have no credit you can still book onto a rink and pay at the bar when you arrive at the club. YOU MUST REPORT TO THE BAR PRIOR TO GOING ONTO THE RINK so that we can confirm your arrival and the number and name of any partners.
BOOKING AT THE BAR
If you are in the club you can book a rink at the bar. It helps us to manage bookings if we can take the payment at the time of booking using your Bowling Account. You also have the option of paying on the day but YOU MUST REPORT TO THE BAR PRIOR TO GOING ONTO THE RINK so that we can confirm your arrival and the number and name of any partners.
